How do I know how much my bank is charging me on discharge?

The exact amount that you will need to pay to the bank to discharge your mortgage will be on the discharge statement that is issued by your bank. Your lawyer will be contacting the bank to request a discharge statement prior to closing. 

If we’re completing your closing, we will send you the discharge statement as soon as we receive it from your bank.

If there is any error on the discharge statement, you should contact your bank in order to resolve the issue and ask them to send us the updated discharge statement. Please note that we are obligated to pay the exact amount of discharge plus a minimum of three business days of per diem if we do not receive the revised statement.
