How do I assign the Hot Water Tank to the buyer?

If the hot water tank is included as a rental item in your agreement of purchase and sale, the new owners will have to set up their new account directly through the utility provider and the rental fee will be billed directly to the new owners after closing. Be sure to contact the utility provider directly (phone or online) to notify them of your closing date. If the utility provider requires the purchaser to sign assignment documents, please provide them to our office as soon as possible so we may submit them to the Purchaser’s Lawyer before the closing date.
