When do I receive keys on Closing?

Closing is typically a busy day for the lawyers as they have to exchange all documents, keys and funds and register the transfer in the Land Registry Office. 

The Land Registry Office closes at 5 pm. Most Agreements of Purchase and Sale contain a deadline of 6 pm on closing day to complete the transaction. 

Keys can be released to you once the transfer is registered. While the registration sometimes takes place in the morning, most of the times the transfer is registered in the afternoon, so you everything goes smoothly on your closing, you should expect to have keys towards the end of the business day.
